Soon after declaring the roll out date of its Siri-supported HomePods speaker, Apple launched out its new edition of iOS named as version 11.2.5 for end consumers. The last official update of the company came as iOS 11.2.2, which comprised a fix for the “Spectre” fault. The iOS 11.2.5 conveys new features and hosts of changes.
One of the underlined functions of the OS upgrade is that it conveys support for HomePod. Consumers will now be allowed to automatically transfer and setup their Apple Music, Apple IDs, and Wi-Fi Settings to the AI-fueled device.
Similar to seen in the last beta variants, Siri with the upgrade will be allowed to read the news. All consumers require to do is to offer the voice command “Hey Siri, play the news”. It is also achievable to ask for news on the basis of different sections such as Business, Sports, and more. Some other fixes and enhancements come as a fraction of iOS 11.2.5.
The OS variant fixes a problem where the iPhone displayed partial data in the Phone App. It also fixes a problem that vanished some notifications of Exchange mail from the lock screen when the smartphone is unlocked employing Face ID. In addition to this, iOS 11.2.5 deals with a problem that might cause Messages chats to be listed out of order momentarily. It also fixes a problem in CarPlay where playback buttons turn out to be unreactive.
What has been stated is the ability for VoiceOver to declare AirPod battery level and playback destinations. The OS version on the other hand does not yet transmit the function that allows consumers get enhanced control on the battery and performance. CEO of Apple Tim Cook has already verified this function to come in further update of iOS, as per the sources.
